I have the sprint rumor and the rumor 2. My rumor (1) has been great. no problems what-so-ever. the Rumor 2 however never works. first the screen started changing colors at random, then it started displaying everything upside down or backwards, or it would display split screen so the right side was on the left and vice-versa. We got it replace at no charge, but as soon as we opened the new replacement things started going wrong again. While texting the phone randomly resets itself, turning off and then back on. This phone isn’t worth the problems it produces. Highly unrecommended.

I think this phone is beyond most free phones…MANY EXTRAS and the Qwerty alone is a life saver!! AA+++++++ in my book!

i have owned the rumor2 for a few months now and have loved it. the qwerty is a nice size and is easy to use. my only complaint on the phone is that it’s camera doesn’t have a higher rated camera in the phone. still, it’s a nice phone and i really like it a lot.

I bought this phone about three or four months ago. The first phone they gave me stopped working after a month; the screen went black and the phone wouldn’t turn on. Fortunately, I was able to replace it at no charge. With my second phone, all seemed great for the first two months until the phone suddenly started displaying everything upside-down and backwards. I literally had to turn the phone upside-down and look at it through a mirror if I wanted to read my text messages. I took it to the Sprint store and they fixed it and gave it back to me. All was happy again, until recently, not more than three weeks after, the buttons on the front panel of the phone have randomly stopped working. Sometimes it is the right side, sometimes it is the left side. In order to send a text message or make a call i have to continuously open and close the phone so i can find which buttons will work for which menu. To make a long story short, if you want to talk and text, get another phone because this thing is garbage. It doesn’t matter how free it is or how cool it looks; it’s not!

for a free phone, (the deal I got when I bought it) it ain’t bad – texting is AMAZING!!! I can type SO much faster and with such ease!!! I’ve got bigger thumbs, too,…so that’s really say’n someth’n.
don’t get this if you use GPS very much, tho….that feature came to a screeching halt – the phone itself just doesn’t have enough memory to recalculate after taking a wrong turn – it’ll literally take minutes to recalculate a route. pictures’re fine, but I miss the flash from my previous phone.
also, the media player isn’t all that great,….you can make folders on the micro SD card, but it won”t recognize ‘em, jumbling all your songs of different cd’s and genres in to one big blop of music.
so, for a simple, phone, it’s a good one, just don’t expect to excel at much more than normal phone would – call’n and text’n.
